Residents challenge state-approved incinerator in front of Tetons

A resort community on the edge of Grand Teton National Park says state regulators shirked their duties, failed to meet federal standards. To appease critics, including Gov. Mark Gordon, who reportedly called the white glamping structures "pimples on the landscape," operators have camouflaged the white domes with green netting. They sit on a section of school trust land near Teton Village where state regulators also have OK'd a commercial incinerator that's drawn fire.

State unanimously backs 35-year plan to preserve Munger Mountain

On Thursday, the State Board of Land Commissioners unanimously approved Teton County’s plan to preserve a square-mile tract of state trust land on Munger Mountain. The plan puts the land in Teton County control for the next 35 years. Ranching and hunting will continue as the county works to fight weeds and build more trails on the western portion of the parcel.
